About the Project

The HR Accountability Project is a growing coalition of HR professionals, employment attorneys, worker advocacy organizations, researchers, and concerned stakeholders who believe accountability is the foundation of trust and that HR deserves the professional standing to meet that responsibility.

The Project is launching in Massachusetts as a deliberate first step.

With its strong worker protections, established professional licensing frameworks, and history of public engagement on workplace rights, Massachusetts is an ideal place to pilot an evidence-based approach to HR licensure.

If enacted, the resulting framework will serve as model legislation that other states can adapt to their own legal and workforce contexts.
